No more tier levels, no more price gouging for high end coins. Set prices allows you to set a budget knowing you wont have any over charges or hidden fees.

Up until now, MMNS had an unwritten policy of returning and refunding coin submissions that do not warrant grading due to value. All coins submitted are checked in, scheduled, graded by a minimum of no less than three coin graders, and a final grade is assessed before the value of the coin is checked. MMNS is now receiving more submissions than ever, and due to massive losses in time and money invested in coins that are not gradable, Michigan Masters will no longer be checking any coin values after the grading process, and all coins submitted will be graded and encapsulated. There will be exceptions, these being counterfeit, altered, or heavily damaged coins. MMNS policy dealing with such coins will not change. As always, MMNS strongly encourages you to check your submissions. Check that all coins match your submission form. Look for Mint marks, years and most of all, any wear or damage that would devalue your coin. It would benefit you to do so with a magnifying glass or jeweler’s loupe. Familiarize yourself with both common and key dates. There are also many sources to find approximate coin values, such as the Red Books or Coin World’s monthly “Coin Values.” to mention a few. MMNS thanks you in advance for helping make us a better company, In-return allowing us to do our jobs more professionally and efficiently.

OUR STANCE ON COUNTERFEITS AND ALTERATIONS

It is our pleasure to verify a coin or bill’s authenticity, and we provide that service to our customers. Simply note on the order form(s) that you’d like us to do so when submitting your item(s) to us. However, any counterfeit and/or altered coins knowingly shipped through U.S. Mail is an attempt to defraud and is a felony offense. We will advise the U.S. Treasury Department and FBI of any customers we believe have intentionally submitted such coins to us. All accrued fees related to said coins, including time spent determining the nature of the item(s) and contacting the authorities, shipping, etc., will in turn be charged to the customer. We at MMNS have seen too many counterfeits, and we are forced to take this action to deter any further attempts by collectors and/or dealers to pass counterfeits to us. It is unfortunate that we are compelled to take this stance, but it has become a necessity. We believe NOW is the time to take action against counterfeits before any more damage is inflicted to the reputation of the Numismatic Society, the integrity of our investments and the enjoyment of our hobby. We encourage all collectors, dealers and fellow grading houses to work together to stop this insidious activity.
